Volunteering at NCWA
NCWA members give freely of their time and talent to help advance our mission of educating, inspiring and engaging our community in international affairs and critical global issues. Over many years of service, they have created Southwest Florida's pre-eminent source of information about world affairs.
Our Board of Directors donates many hours of their time to ensure that the organization delivers its programs effectively for our members and that it is run smoothly and in compliance with its foundational principles.
Our many programs are staffed by volunteers, from people who cheerfully greet members at the doors of the lecture hall, to the many judges and supporters of our Model UN program, to those who work with students learning about global affairs, to the leaders of Great Decisions discussion groups of up to 30 members each.
Think about the skill it takes to ensure that Great Decisions discussions stay nonpartisan, or to help students evaluate the trajectory of their college and professional careers. Another important aspect of volunteering is the financial support our donors provide year after year to support our programs. without the generosity of our donors, many students would have fewer opportunities and life experiences. NCWA members offer it all!
We welcome your interest in volunteering. Please feel free to contact any Board of Directors member or committee chair to find out what's available. We hope to see you in the lecture hall, the Great Decisions meeting rooms, or in our schools where students are busy learning! There is lots to be done, so please join us!
