Francisco A. Figueroa, a retired corporate executive with Lockheed Martin Corporation, joined the NCWA Board of Directors in 2023 and is serving on the Finance Committee. At Lockheed Martin, he was in a number of positions leading programs of national importance, culminating in being president of the Mission Support Alliance, a 3,000-employee company providing essential mission services to the Hanford, WA, remediation site where plutonium was manufactured during the Manhattan Project. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Figueroa had a career with the Air Force Space Program where he served as director and commander of launch operations, satellite control, program management, and congressional liaison activities. His academic background includes a B.S. in electrical engineering, an M.S. in astronautics, an M.S. in systems management, and a Ph.D. in systems engineering. Figueroa is a CPA and founded two companies, from which he is now retired. He has served on a number of boards and committees, including for-profit and non-profit institutions. He has received numerous honors and awards for his community and national service. Figueroa is currently treasurer of the Treviso at the Colony in Pelican Landing board of directors and chairs its finance committee. He is active in teaching financial literacy and foreign affairs, which includes founding a Great Decisions group in Estero, where he resides with his wife Edde. They travel extensively and he has visited over 100 countries. |
