Your passport to global affairs

Members and Membership

Welcome! Thank you for looking into information about membership in the Naples Council on World Affairs (NCWA)! NCWA is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit with nearly 1,800 members in Southwest Florida.

Our members receive a range of opportunities to engage with international affairs, volunteer, and make new friends with similar interests. We are nonpartisan and focused on issues in a friendly environment. We love to have fun while making a difference!

NCWA provides ten lectures between November and April on international affairs and foreign policy by distinguished experts, as well as bonus special programs, small discussion groups between January and March where topics parallel the lecture subjects, and a variety of programs through the school year and summer supporting local students and educators. Feel free to browse our website for more details.

Many of the students who participate in our school programs are admitted to top universities and ultimately pursue careers in international affairs or find ways to use the valuable background gained from NCWA programs in their careers.

Membership annual fees are $140 for an Individual or $250 for a Family (two persons at the same address). We provide afternoon and evening sessions of each lecture, as well as offer the presentations via livestream and by video archives. Many members have opportunities for personal interaction with our guest lecturers through luncheons for members of the President's Club.

Membership renewal and enrollment of new members -- and enrollment in our Great Decisions program of 24 groups -- is currently open. The combination of our lecture and Great Decisions programs provides a synergy that gives members deep background into rapidly changing foreign affairs that affect all of us.

A convenient Member Portal on our website provides links to frequently used programs and sources of information. For more information about membership, and to apply or renew online, please click here. (Or, if you prefer, you may reach our Call Center at 239-649-3942). If you have questions, you may reach me at ncwamembership@gmail.com.
