Naples Council on World Affairs
Application to Serve on the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of NCWA appreciates your interest in joining us. We are now accepting applications from members who would like to join the Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 season. The deadline for us to receive your application is Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
You will be pleased to learn that there are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities with NCWA, including assisting in the presentation of lectures and other major events, leading Great Decisions discussion groups, facilitating learning opportunities for high school and middle school students, selecting summer study applicants from area high schools, administering many functions for the Model United Nations competition at Florida Gulf Coast University, helping program "alumni" explore careers in international affairs and diplomacy, and many more.
NCWA's Board members are deeply and personally involved in their favorite programs in a "hands on" fashion. While some nonprofit organizations have Boards that operate mainly at a policy level, this is a "working board" that operates without a paid staff. We place our resources in our program content.
