Mimi Gregory, Past President and Program Chairman of the Naples Council on World Affairs will address the membership on her recent Leadership Delegation to Afghanistan.
“Meeting with U.S. State Department officials at the Embassy and Afghanistan’s own citizens and leaders leads to a true mission of people to people diplomacy. Thanks to the invitation of Ambassador Ryan Crocker, 6 representatives of World Affairs Councils across the country were able to hear “the Afghan side of the story”, many of us coming away with a very different perspective of the situation on the ground”. “I hope you will join me to share in the report that we will be preparing for distribution throughout the Council System and to our hosts on the ground in Afghanistan”.
