The Naples Council on World Affairs has invited the Consul General of France, Gaël de Maisonneuve, and Kevin McGurgan, Her Majesty’s Consul General of Great Britain, to discuss this new collaboration between two important Western European Nations. The program will be held at the Gates Community Room of the Naples Daily News Building at 10:30am, Wednesday, February 16th, 2011.
Facing a changing Europe with significant economic problems and the budget cuts that result; certain partnerships have emerged from the necessities of change as both countries address military cooperation, the issues of NATO and Afghanistan, absorption of immigrants and the cost of aid to countries like Greece, Ireland and perhaps Portugal.
Both Consuls General have had important postings prior to taking their appointments in Miami. We hope you will join us for this interesting presentation and come prepared with good questions.
