Dear NCWA Members:
During the past year, we were able virtually to bring our membership exciting lectures including even some from speakers outside the United States. But, as Alexander Hamilton said (at least on stage), it’s better to be in “The Room Where It Happens!”
So, I’m delighted to bring you some good news. The 2021-2022 season lectures will be in-person and, as in the past, will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 625 111th Ave N., Naples.
As usual, we will offer two lectures by each speaker. Your already expressed preference for afternoon or evening lecture will be honored, and we will follow all relevant CDC and state health guidelines. Below is a list of 2021-2022 lecture dates (all lectures are on Mondays unless otherwise noted):
November: 1 and 15
December: 6
January: 10 and 24
February: 7 and 22 (Tuesday)
March: 7 and 21
April: 4
Annual Dinner TBD
With the continuing rise in vaccinations and decline of COVID-19, we look forward to your joining us for an exciting season of topical lectures by internationally recognized experts. We’ll be back in touch as the lineup of speakers is developed.
With all best wishes,
Jim Schmotter
President, Naples Council on World Affairs
