Jan Guben
 

 

 After graduation from the University of Baltimore Law School in 1967 Jan Guben practiced law for more than 46 years, specializing in real estate, tax planning and transactional work. Jan was a partner with the national firm of Venable, LLP, where he maintained offices in both Washington DC and Baltimore Maryland and served as Managing Partner of the firm's Business Division. He was a founding Board member of the Johns Hopkins University Real Estate School, was elected to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) and has served as a lecturer on the practice of real estate law for ACREL as well as other continuing professional education programs for lawyers in various locations across the United States.

Jan has served on several non-profit boards including Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and The Bryn Mawr School, a private girls' school in Baltimore. In Naples, he has participated in Great Decisions for a number of years and has served as the leader of his group for the last 4 years. Jan and his wife Sue, also a lawyer, both having retired are now Naples Florida residents.
