“A NUCLEAR DEAL WITH IRAN? PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES FOR THE UNITED STATES AND ISRAEL”.
Dalia Dassa Kaye will address the Naples Council on World Affairs on Monday, February 3rd, 2014, at St. John the Evangelist’s Kiney Hall, 625 111th St. No. in North Naples, at 3:45 and 7:30 pm.
Our timing for this presentation is right on target as this quote: “Iranian President Hassan Rouhani boasted on Twitter that the United States and other world powers effectively "surrendered" to Tehran with the newly struck nuclear deal.” reached the news wires worldwide.[January 14th]. As those who favor sanctions continue to press for more to be put in place; this unfortunate tweet may just ensure that the net step may not be further talks but further sanctions.
Dr. Dalia Dassa Kaye
Here to comment on these happenings and what the future of talks with Iran may yield is Dr. Dalia Dassa Kaye, Director for the Center for Middle East Public Policy and a senior political scientist at the RAND Corporation. Before joining RAND, Kaye served as a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow at the Dutch Foreign Ministry. She also taught at the University of Amsterdam and was a visiting scholar at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations. She is the recipient of many awards and fellowships, including a Brookings Institution research fellowship and The John W. Gardner Fellowship.
